The FLIR ONE Second Generation for Android retails for about $215 (Amazon) at the time of this review. As was stated in the video, this isn't a product for everyone. There are plenty of specific use cases that lend themselves to an IR camera. One of them is finding out where cold spots are in your house. This works great for that. For the gadget lover, there is some value to having a camera that captures IR.

However, if you have no need to do any thermal imaging, there's no reason to purchase this. It is specific in the niche is covers. That being said, it covers it very well and with some useful features. The secondary visible camera to have edge detection and comparison shots really give you an enrichment of information than just the thermal image alone. The software works well and doesn't get in the way. Sure, compatibility might present a problem, but if you have a smartphone that is compatible and need a thermal imaging solution, this is a great product to check out.

ASE Publishing would like to thank FLIR for making this review possible.
